Langston Galloway scored 20 points, and Saint Joseph's used some authentic home cooking to end a three-game skid against rival Villanova with a 74-58 victory Saturday.

Carl Jones added 15 points, Ronald Roberts Jr. had 12 and C.J. Aiken 11 for the Hawks (8-3). Aiken, the nation's blocked shots leader, posted all four of his swats as well as nine points in the second half as Saint Joseph's seized command.

It marked the first time in the series, which the Wildcats lead 44-25, that the game was held on the Saint Joseph's campus at Hagan Arena. A Galloway 3-pointer swelled the Hawks' lead to 20 late.

Maalik Wayns' 19 points paced Villanova (6-5), which went 5-for-27 from 3-point range and fell for the fifth time in seven outings.

The Hawks don't face another Big 5 opponent until Jan. 21 at Pennsylvania, with Temple and La Salle thereafter during their Atlantic 10 slate. The Wildcats finished 2-2 versus Big 5 rivals.

Villanova had rebounded from a loss at Temple with a 68-43 drubbing of Boston University on Tuesday in which it outscored the Terriers 45-17 in the second half.

The Wildcats, who shot 6-for-33 in the first half against Boston University, again started poorly as they began 6-for-20. Saint Joseph's took advantage and forged a 24-15 lead, but Villanova recovered to trim the deficit to 30-27 at halftime. The Hawks then opened the second half with a 14-4 spurt.
