When: 3:30 PM ET, Sunday, December 4, 2011
Where: J.C. Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson, South Carolina
Officials: # Roger Ayers, # Tony Greene, # Gary Maxwell

South Carolina's Damontre Harris and Anthony Gill scored 10 points apiece, and the Gamecocks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 58-55 road win over Clemson on Sunday at Littlejohn Coliseum.

South Carolina (3-5) has won two straight in the series since losing six straight to its in-state rival.

Clemson (4-3) had a chance to tie it when Tanner Smith was fouled shooting a 3-pointer with 7.5 seconds left, but Smith -- a 57-percent foul shooter -- missed the second of three free throws.

After committing only two turnovers while building a 35-28 halftime lead, the Tigers turned it over eight times in the second half.

South Carolina led 14-13 and not again until Gill's jumper made it 49-47 with 3:28 left. The freshman also hit a key 3-pointer down the stretch to help the Gamecocks hold on.

Harris scored in double figures for only the third time in his career and added a career-high five blocks.

Clemson was 5 of 18 from 3-point range, including a 2-for-9 showing from sharpshooter Andre Young, who has made at least one 3-pointer in 41 of his past 42 games.

South Carolina snapped a streak of six straight road losses dating to Feb. 2. Clemson is 44-6 in non-conference home games since 2006 but has dropped three of its past four.

Clemson's football team made an appearance at halftime with the ACC Championship trophy the Tigers won with a 38-10 win over Virginia Tech on Saturday.
