Providence raced to an 11-2 lead and never let up, expanding the lead to 39-19 at the half against the outmanned Rattlers, who had four players declared ineligible earlier in the week.

Freshman LaDontae Henton added 13 points and 11 rebounds and Vincent Council added 13 points and eight assists for the Friars, who shot 53.1 percent (26-of-49) from the field.

Florida A&M (0-3) was led by Reggie Lewis, who came off the bench to score 18, and Avery Moore, who made three 3-pointers and scored 11. FAMU shot only 32.9 percent (23 of 70) from the floor.
