TUCSON, Ariz. – Mike Bruesewitz had 11 points - including a 3-pointer with 1:32 left that put Wisconsin ahead for good - as the Badgers defeated Kansas State 70-65 in the third round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday.

Jacob Pullen, who had a game-high 38 points, tied it at 61 for Kansas State on a rebound off his own miss with 2:42 left. After the Wildcats got the ball back, Jordan Taylor (12 points) responded with a steal and Bruesewitz was open for his 3-pointer.

Pullen had a chance to tie it at 66 when he was fouled while attempting a 3-pointer, but missed the middle free throw.

The fourth-seeded Badgers (25-8) were 6 for 6 from the free-throw line in the final 16.4 seconds to seal it.
