Trey Thompkins scored 18 points and Travis Leslie and Gerald Robinson added 13, and Georgia held on in the closing minutes to beat Manhattan, 61-58, in the final day of competition at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando.

Thompkins missed the first three games of the season with an injury but played in Georgia's three tournament games. He led the Bulldogs in scoring (17.7) and rebounding (8.3) last year and is the SEC's pre-season Player of the Year.

The Bulldogs led at the half, 37-30, but a 16-9 run by the Jaspers tied the game at 46-46 when Andrew Gabriel converted a three-point play.

Dustin Ware converted two free throws to give the Bulldogs a 60-55 lead with less than a minute to play before Kidari Brutus hit a 3-pointer to close the Georgia lead to 60-58. Leslie converted one of two free throws and the Bulldogs held on for the win.

Brutus scored 16 points and George Beamon added 14 for Manhattan, which has lost four straight.
