BOXSCORE | RECAP
Virginia 74, Maryland 60
When: 2:00 PM ET, Saturday, March 5, 2011
Where: Comcast Center, College Park, Maryland
Officials: # Roger Ayers, # Bernard Clinton, # Brian Dorsey
Attendance: 17459

Sammy Zeglinski scored 25 points, and Mustapha Farrakhan added 19, as Virginia dealt Maryland's hopes of an NCAA Tournament at-large bid a blow with a 74-60 road win Saturday.

Jordan Williams scored 17 points, and Dino Gregory added 15 for the Terrapins, who cut a 13-point deficit to five late in the game but couldn't get any closer.

Virginia (16-14, 7-9 ACC) went 9 of 9 from the foul line in the final three minutes to put it away.

The Cavaliers can still end up as the No. 7, 8 or 9 seed in next week's ACC Tournament in Greensboro, depending out the outcome of Sunday's game between Miami and Georgia Tech. Maryland (18-13, 7-9 ACC) will fall to either the seventh or eighth seed in the ACC Tournament, pending the outcome of the same game.

If Miami wins, Maryland will be the No. 8 seed, and Virginia will be No. 9, setting up a rematch in Thursday's first round. If Georgia Tech wins, the Cavaliers will get the No. 7 seed, and the Terps will slide to No. 8.
