JaMychal Green's tip shot at the buzzer sent Alabama to a 51-49 win over Auburn on Wednesday, clinching the SEC West regular-season title for the Crimson Tide.

Green's last-second redirection of a driving shot by Tony Mitchell salvaged a horrid shooting game for Alabama (19-8, 11-2 SEC), which remained unbeaten at home on the season (15-0). The Crimson Tide made just 11-of-42 field-goal attempts, but emerged victorious thanks to a 27-for-40 performance from the free-throw line.

Green led all scorers with 17 points, and was the only Crimson Tide player to make more than two shots from the field.

Earnest Ross had 10 points for the Tigers (9-18, 2-11), who have dropped 13 of their last 16 games.

Auburn led by as many as 15 points in the first half and 41-29 with 11:53 remaining after a 3-pointer by Ross. The Tide started chipping away and drew even at 43-43 on a tip-shot by Andrew Steele with 3:24 remaining. The teams traded baskets until the final buzzer.
