Oregon remained hot and dealt visiting No. 20 Washington’s Pac-10 championship hopes a major blow, beating the Huskies by an 81-76 margin Saturday.

Oregon (12-11, 5-6 Pac-10) logged its fourth win in the past five games and improved to 3-1 at its new home court, Matthew Knight Arena.

Joevan Catron scored 20 points to lead four Ducks in double digits. E.J. Singler added 16, Tyrone Nared 14 and reserve Jay-R Strowbridge added 12.

The Huskies (15-7, 7-4) committed 15 turnovers while losing for the third time in a seven-day span. Washington already had surrendered first place in the league standings to Arizona.

Trailing for much of the game, Washington forged its final tie at 45-45 only to see Oregon tally 10 of the next 12 points in the contest. The Huskies got as close as two points but never caught up.

Washington’s Matthew Bryan-Amaning notched a game-high 21 points. Isaiah Thomas had 13 points and six assists, getting back on track after two straight games when he finished with more turnovers than assists.
