John Jenkins scored 18 points, and Jeffery Taylor and Festus Ezeli added 17 and eight rebounds apiece to help No. 24 Vanderbilt avenge an earlier loss with a 78-60 home win against South Carolina on Saturday at Memorial Gym.

The Commodores (16-6, 4-4 SEC) shot 39.1 percent in an 83-75 overtime loss at South Carolina on Jan. 8, but they shot much better Saturday, hitting 50.9 percent.

Taylor went 4 for 4 from 3-point range to lead the Commodores' red-hot outside shooting. Vandy was 11 for 20 from beyond the arc.

Jenkins has scored 18 points or more in nine consecutive games.

Ramon Galloway scored 16 points to lead the Gamecocks (13-8, 4-4 SEC). South Carolina leading scorer Bruce Ellington finished with 13 points but struggled for most of the game, going 4 for 17 from the field and 3 for 10 from 3-point range.

Brad Tinsley added 13 points and nine assists for the Commodores, who improved to 12-1 at home.
