Where: The Pavilion, Villanova, Pennsylvania
Officials: # John Cahill, # Tim Clougherty, # Brian O'Connell

Corey Fisher collected 16 points and five assists and Maalik Wayns scored 17 as No. 12 Villanova coasted to a 66-50 victory over visiting West Virginia on Saturday.

Mouphtaou Yarou chipped in 11 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats (19-4, 7-3 Big East), who have won two straight after dropping three of four. Villanova gets Pittsburgh at home next weekend in a game that will likely determine if it still has a shot at the Big East regular season crown.

West Virginia (15-6, 6-4) is still alive in the Big East as well, though it finishes the season with six of the last eight against teams currently ranked in the Top-17.

The Mountaineers shot 6 of 25 (24 percent) in first half and went over nine minutes without a field goal, as the Wildcats took control and headed into the locker room with a 30-19 edge.

West Virginia would pull as close as 36-33 after John Flowers knocked down a jumper with 15:39 left. But Villanova regrouped, holding the Mountaineers off over the next few minutes and then using a 19-3 burst to push the lead to 64-43 after Yarou’s dunk at the 3:40 mark. Fisher, Wayns and Corey Stokes each hit a 3-pointer during the surge.

West Virginia's leading scorer Casey Mitchell returned from his three-game suspension, but did not start. The senior guard missed all three of his shots and failed to score in 13 minutes of action.
