Darius Morris finished with a triple-double, leading five Michigan starters in double figures as the Wolverines surged past Iowa, 87-73, late Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Morris scored 12 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed his 10th rebound in the closing seconds. Michigan (13-9, 3-6 Big Ten) also got 19 and 17 points, respectively, from Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jordan Morgan. Michigan shot 58.9 percent (33 of 56) overall and hit 14 of 28 3-point shots.

The Wolverines scored the final five points of a back-and-forth first half to take a slim 35-32 lead into the break. Michigan then used a pair of 7-0 bursts early in the second half to stretch its advantage to 55-39 with 13:56 remaining. Evan Smotrycz and Hardaway each hit a pair of 3-pointers to help the Wolverines break the game open.

Melsahn Basabe scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Hawkeyes (8-13, 1-8 Big Ten).
