Joevan Catron had 15 points and six rebounds, and visiting Oregon snapped a 24-game losing streak at Stanford with a 67-59 victory Thursday.

Tied 29-29 halftime, Oregon grabbed a 10-point lead on Johnathan Lloyd’s 3-pointer with 7:15 remaining. Stanford made back-to-back 3-pointers to come within four with five minutes left, but Oregon sealed its first victory at Maples Pavilion since 1986 with E.J. Singler’s layup with 35 seconds left.

Jay-R Strowbridge had 13 points, and Garrett Sim and Malcolm Armstead scored 10 apiece to pace Oregon (10-10, 3-5 Pac-10), which has won three of its last four.

Stanford was led by Dwight Powell’s 14 points and six rebounds. Jeremy Green added 13 points and Anthony Brown had 12 for the Cardinal (10-9, 3-5), who were 6 of 19 from 3-point range.

Stanford, which has lost four in a row, has scored less than 60 points in seven straight games.

Oregon, which was picked to finish last in the Pac-10 preseason media poll, capitalized on the momentum from Saturday’s 63-59 win over rival Oregon State.

The Ducks shot 9 of 17 from 3-point range and outrebounded Stanford 28-21.
