Brandon Knight scored 23 points and No. 12 Kentucky held on for a 67-58 victory at South Carolina on Saturday evening.

The Wildcats (15-4, 3-2 SEC), who never trailed, used an early 12-2 run to help build a 36-26 halftime advantage. A three-point play by Darius Miller just after the break sparked an 11-2 spurt that put Kentucky in front, 47-30, with 14:18 remaining.

South Carolina put together a furious rally in the late moments, scoring 11 consecutive points to get within five, 61-56, at the 1:15 mark.

Kentucky's Doron Lamb hit four straight free throws in the final minute, however, and Terrence Jones added a pair of blocked shots at the other end to help thwart the Gamecocks' comeback bid.

Miller contributed 18 points for Kentucky, which hit 24-of-29 foul shots.

Sam Muldrow finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead South Carolina (12-6, 3-2).
