No. 3 Kansas struggled again, but managed to knock off Nebraska 63-60 Saturday in Lawrence, Kan.

After an unimpressive win on the road at Iowa State in its Big 12 opener, Kansas came out flat against Nebraska and trailed 30-25 at halftime.

But the Jayhawks (17-0, 2-0 Big 12) survived a potential tying 3-pointer by the Cornhuskers' Caleb Walker in the final seconds to escape with a three-point win.

Defensive-minded Nebraska (13-4, 1-2 Big 12) was able to force its tempo upon Kansas for much of the game, leading by as many as 10 in the second half. But Kansas worked its way back with a barrage of dunks in the final minutes.

Junior Marcus Morris had 16 points and joined the 1,000-point club for Kansas. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. Tyrel Reed also scored 16, but missed a free throw that gave Nebraska the chance to tie it with a three. The senior is a 93-percent free-throw shooter.

Nebraska was led by 13 points and six assists from Lance Jeter and 10 points off the bench from Andre Almeida.

Kansas extended its home win streak to 69 games and won its 16th straight against Nebraska.
