David Lighty scored 29 points to lead No. 2 Ohio State to a 96-49 rout of visiting UNC Asheville on Tuesday night.

Ohio State (11-0) has yet to be challenged this season as its average margin of victory is 26 points.

The Buckeyes never trailed, and jumped ahead 11-2 in the opening minutes. Leading 22-10, Ohio State scored nine straight points and built the lead throughout the first half.

Lighty hit 11 of 16 shots from the field, including 7 of 10 on 3-pointers. William Buford scored 14 points while Deshaun Thomas added 13. Jared Sullinger, Ohio State's top scorer at 18.5 points a game, had nine.

J.P. Primm led UNC Asheville (5-6) with 15 points. D.J. Cunningham had 13 points while Chris Stephenson added 11. Matt Dickey, the Bulldogs' leading scorer at 16.7 points a game, was held to four points and went 2 of 11 from the field.

The Buckeyes made 36 of their 69 shots and were 11 of 24 on 3-pointers.
