Denzel Bowles led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds and Devon Moore added 14 points as James Madison knocked off South Florida, 66-61, on Saturday. Rayshawn Goins pulled down 11 rebounds for the Dukes (8-3), who were playing their fifth straight games on the road.

South Florida (6-6) jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first few minutes and were on top 18-4 before the Dukes began to climb back into it, using a 17-2 run to take a 21-20 lead midway through the half. South Florida righted itself in time to take a four-point lead into the break and led by as much as 10 points early in the second half.

It was 56-51 in favor of the Bulls with 7:01 on the clock before the Dukes went on another run, taking the lead back at 57-56 on Bowles’ free throw with 3:53 on the clock.

South Florida has not scored more than 64 points in any of its last six games and will play its next three on the road, including the Big East opener at Seton Hall on December 28.
