Cory Joseph's jumper with 1.6 seconds remaining lifted No. 25 Texas to a 78-76 win over North Carolina on Saturday in Greensboro.

Jordan Hamilton led the way with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Joseph finished with 21 points for the Longhorns (9-2).

The Tar Heels led much of the second half into the second half before Texas pulled ahead, 70-69, with three minutes remaining. Tyler Zeller scored four straight to give North Carolina the lead again. Then Joseph hit two free throws and Tristan Thompson dunked to put the Longhorns back on top.

With under a minute left, Harrison Barnes tied it for North Carolina with a 3-pointer. But Joseph got the final say.

The Longhorns face another big game on Wednesday when they travel to No. 15 Michigan State. And they still have a non-conference matchup with No. 4 Connecticut before their Big 12 schedule begins.

Dexter Strickland scored 18 points and Barnes added 16 for the Tar Heels (7-4).
