Omari Johnson scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Lathen Wallace finished with 15 points as Oregon State easily dispatched Texas Pan-American, 89-69, on Sunday.

Ahmad Starks and Jared Cunningham also finished in double figures for the Beavers (4-4), who knocked down 7-of-16 from beyond the arc.

Oregon State took control right from the start, bursting out of the gate with a 19-3 surge. Johnson had five points in the run and Deron Collier had six of his nine points in the opening four minutes. It was 43-32 at the half and the Beavers came out of the break with a 26-11 burst to put it away.

Perry Petty scored a game-high 32 for the Broncos (3-9), who have only beaten one Division I team this season.

Oregon State travels to Montana on Wednesday before returning home for its last two non-conference games. The Beavers begin Pac-10 play with a home game against Arizona State on December 30.
