Jordan Taylor scored 21 points as Wisconsin held on for a 69-64 road win over Marquette on Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee, Wisc. The Badgers (8-2) had lost three straight to the Golden Eagles.

Up 32-30 at halftime, Wisconsin used an 8-1 spurt early in the second half to take a 44-35 lead with 13:38 remaining. Keaton Nankavil scored six points during the run.

The Badger lead topped out when a Taylor 3-pointer made it 55-43 with 9:07 to go. Marquette (7-3) slowly chipped away down the stretch. A 3-pointer by Jimmy Butler got the Golden Eagles within two, 62-60, with 20.3 seconds remaining, but Taylor hit five free throws in the closing moments to help seal the victory.

Marquette had an opportunity to tie the game at 67-64 in the final seconds, but Dwight Buycks turned the ball over before getting a shot off.

Jon Leuer added 17 points for Wisconsin, while Butler led the Golden Eagles with 15 points in defeat.
