Jimmer Fredette poured in a game-high 26 points as Brigham Young Cougars unbeaten Wednesday with an 86-58 win over Vermont.

Fredette, who entered the night as the Mountain West Conference scoring leader at 22.2 points per game, had a great night in front of his hometown fans in Glens Falls, N.Y. He hit nine of 19 shots from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.

Fredette added five assists for the Cougars (9-0), who erupted for 48 second-half points.

Noah Hartsock chipped in with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Brandon Davies had 12 points. Charles Abouo and Jackson Emery added 11 apiece for the Cougars.

Brigham Young shot 55.9 percent from the field in the victory while going 9-for-18 from beyond the arc.

Brendan Bald had a team-best 14 points for the Catamounts (6-2), who shot just 34.4 percent in the loss. Joey Accaoui had 12 points and Matt Glass added 10 in defeat.
