Dane Miller and Gilvydas Biruta each had a double-double and Rutgers dominated the second half to post a 64-48 victory over Marist in a non-conference matchup Tuesday at the RAC.

Rutgers (5-2) remains a perfect 5-0 at home with the win but things went Marist’s way in the first half. The Red Foxes (2-7) led 27-21 at the break as the Scarlet Knights couldn’t find their range from the field and shot just 29 percent (9-of-32). Rutgers turned things around over the final 20 minutes, limiting Marist to 21 points and holding the Red Foxes to 20 percent (5-of-25) shooting from the field.

Gilvydas finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Miller had 12 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Jonathan Mitchell led Rutgers with 16 points and Mike Coburn added 14 with four assists and two steals.

Menelik Watson scored 15 points and Sam Prescott added 11 for Marist, which committed 21 turnovers which Rutgers converted into 16 points.
