Chris Otule hit all nine of his field-goal attempts, scoring a season-high 19 points to lead five players in double digits as Marquette cruised past Longwood, 96-65, Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee, Wisc.

The Golden Eagles (6-2) used an 11-2 spurt to pull out to a 30-17 lead with 8:14 left in the first half, then scored 16 consecutive points to extend that margin to 49-28 with 1:11 remaining before intermission. The Lancers got no closer than 21 the rest of the way.

Darius Johnson-Odom finished with 14 points for Marquette, which shot 54.3 percent (38-of-70) from the floor and finished with a commanding 49-28 advantage in rebounds. The Golden Eagles also got 12 points from Vander Blue and 10 each from Dwight Buycks and Jae Crowder.

Martiz Washington and Antwan Carter paced Longwood (3-6) with 15 and 14 points, respectively. The Lancers scored more than half of their points from long range, connecting on 10 of 29 three-point attempts.
