Continuing to gain early season momentum, Wake Forest defeated visiting Holy Cross 75-64 Saturday due to a strong offensive performance.

Four players scored in double digits, led by freshman forward Travis McKie, who finished with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor and 11 rebounds as Wake (5-3) won its third straight game.

C.J. Harris and Gary Clark finished with 16 points each and Ari Stewart added 11 as Wake Forest shot 52.8 percent.

Devin Brown and Andrew Keister scored 16 points each for Holy Cross (0-6).

Wake Forest will receive some depth heading into their next contest. Redshirt junior transfer Nikita Mescheriakov will be eligible to suit up against UNC-Wilmington. Mescheriakov transferred from Georgetown, where he played in 30 career games with eight starts.
