Where: McArthur Court, Eugene, Oregon
Officials: # Randy McCall, # Chris Rastatter, # Michael Reed

Led by 19 points from junior guard Marcus Denmon, No. 9 Missouri withstood Oregon's furious second-half rally for a 83-80 victory in a Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series game in Eugene, Ore.

Freshman guard Johnathan Loyd air-balled a potential game-tying 3-pointer as time expired for the Ducks (4-3). The miss came right before Loyd hit consecutive 3-pointers in the final minute to help shave the Missouri lead all the way down to 82-80 in the closing seconds.

Sophomore forward Kyle Singler scored a career-high 19 points (17 in the second half) and grabbed nine rebounds for the Ducks. His 3-pointer with 13:23 left in the second half capped a 10-0 Oregon run and drew the Ducks to within 49-41. They trailed 44-24 at halftime.

Five players scored in double figures for the Tigers (6-1), including 12 from Kim English and 11 apiece from Michael Dixon and Ricardo Ratliffe. Dixon made 9 of 10 free throws, including four straight in the final 30 seconds to help kept the Ducks at bay.

Missouri, which was playing its seventh game in 14 days, will take the weekend off before hosting Vanderbilt on Dec. 8.

Loyd, Joevan Catron and Jay-R Strowbridge all scored 15 points apiece for the Ducks, who host Portland State on Sunday.

Missouri's victory improves the Big 12 to 4-0 against the Pac-10 in this year's series, as No. 4 Kansas (77-76 over UCLA) and No. 10 Baylor (68-54 over Arizona State) also prevailed in Thursday games.
