When: 9:00 PM ET, Saturday, November 27, 2010
Where: US Cellular Arena, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Officials: # Jeff Anderson, # Tim Higgins, # Bill McCarthy

Thanks to a stellar shooting day from Darius Johnson-Odom, Marquette continued its domination of crosstown rival Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a narrow 74-72 victory at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

Johnson-Odom, a junior guard, scored a game-high 29 points on 10-for-14 shooting, including 5 for 7 from 3-point range.

The Golden Eagles (5-2) are 37-0 against the Panthers. It is the second longest current winning steak in Division I basketball. Syracuse has 44 straight victories over Colgate.

The Panthers went on a 25-16 run to draw to within 72-69 after a Kaylon Williams free throw. But Johnson-Odom sank two free throws on Marquette’s next possession to seal the game.

Ja’Rob McCallum’s 19 point led the way for the Panthers (3-4).

The victory caps a 1-2 week for the Golden Eagles. They competed in the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic and gave No.1 Duke (82-77) and No.18 Gonzaga (66-63) some tough games in losses.
