Kyle Singler got the best of younger brother E.J., scoring 30 points to lead top-ranked Duke to a 98-71 rout of Oregon on Saturday afternoon in Portland, Ore.

The elder Singler hit five 3-point shots and all seven of his free throws to lead the Blue Devils (6-0), who shot 52.4 percent (33-of-63) from the field.

The Blue Devils took the Ducks by storm from the opening tip, rushing out to a 31-12 lead behind 13 points from Kyle Singler. Up 40-25 at the break, Duke then outscored Oregon 21-8 at the start of the second half to build an insurmountable 28-point lead with 14:36 to go.

Guards Nolan Smith and Kyrie Irving added 18 and 16 points, respectively, for Duke.

The Ducks (4-2) were led by Joevan Catron’s 18 points. E.J. Singler finished with 14 points, but most came in the final minutes, well after the outcome had been decided.
