Cincinnati had no trouble handling last year’s NIT champion.

The Bearcats trounced Dayton 68-34 on Saturday in the final game of the Global Sports Main Event at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati (5-0) raced to a 22-9 lead, and led 42-19 at halftime before going on a 20-6 run to start the second half.

Cincinnati is 60-31 all-time against Dayton (5-1), and has won 15 of the last 18 games.

Guard Dion Dixon finished with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting for Cincinnati, which is 60-31 all-time against Dayton, and has won 15 of the last 18 games.
