Freshman Bryce Jones scored 21 points and Nikola Vucevic added 19, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Southern California to an 80-61 home victory over New Mexico State on Sunday.

Jones shot 7-of-10 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from the arc, and Vucevic shot 8-of-14. Marcus Simmons added 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting as USC (3-2) shot 50 percent for the game.

The Trojans led 40-28 at the half and used a 10-0 run to take a 67-45 edge with 12:30 left in the contest.

Kristian Kabonga scored 14 and Gordo Castillo added 13 for the Aggies (2-3), who shot 35.7 percent and committed 18 turnovers.
