Allen Crabbe's 3-pointer with 14:29 remaining gave the Golden Bears a 49-39 lead, and keyed a 13-2 run that helped Cal pull away. The Golden Bears outscored the Matadors 44-26 in the second half after trailing 37-36 at halftime.

It was the second consecutive loss to a Pac-10 team for the Matadors, who were blasted 83-50 by UCLA on Friday. Rashaun McLemore came off the bench to scored a game-high 24 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Matadors (0-2).
